Top National Programs Clash at One of High School Wrestling’s Premier Events
The 2025 Powerade Wrestling Tournament once again delivered one of the most competitive high school wrestling weekends of the season, hosted at Canon-McMillan High School in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania, just outside of Pittsburgh.
Recognized nationally as one of the premier in-season folkstyle tournaments, Powerade consistently attracts powerhouse programs and highly ranked wrestlers from across the country. This year’s event continued that tradition, featuring stacked brackets and high-level matchups from start to finish.
National Powerhouses Take the Mat
Programs such as Blair Academy, Malvern Prep, Bergen Catholic, Lake Highland Prep, and other nationally respected teams competed in a loaded field. The depth across weight classes made nearly every round competitive, with multiple nationally ranked wrestlers squaring off throughout the bracket.
Team standings reflected the strength of the competition, as bonus points and placement matches proved critical in determining the final outcomes.
Big-Time Individual Performances
Powerade is often viewed as a mid-season measuring stick, and this year’s edition featured several statement performances. Championship finals included nationally ranked wrestlers battling for titles, showcasing technical execution, composure, and conditioning.
The tournament atmosphere mirrored postseason intensity, with packed stands and high stakes throughout the weekend.

Held annually in Western Pennsylvania, Powerade has built a reputation alongside tournaments like Beast of the East and Ironman as one of the top national events on the high school calendar.
