Jackson Township High School put together a strong all-around performance to earn a hard-fought dual meet victory over Toms River East. With multiple falls and a technical fall highlighting the lineup, Jackson created separation in crucial moments to secure the team win.
The dual began at 150 pounds, where Tucker Pazinko (Jackson) set the tone early with a fall in 4:30 over Kevin Sickler. That momentum carried into 157, as Finley Pazinko delivered an 18-3 technical fall in 4:49 over Damian Vonderlinden, giving Jackson an early boost.
Momentum Swings Throughout the Lineup
Toms River East responded at 165 pounds when Elian Steffer edged Landen Chapman in a tight 7-5 decision, keeping the dual competitive. However, Jackson answered quickly at 175, where Irshod Nazurdinov needed just 0:58 to secure a fall over Geovanni Vamvas.
Akbar Nazurdinov added a 12-5 decision at 190, and Andrew Chitacapa extended Jackson’s edge with a pin in 1:44 at heavyweight.
Toms River East battled back in the lower weights. Carson Taylor picked up a 3-0 decision at 106, followed by Logan Taylor’s 16-12 win at 113. Julius Feliciano added a fall at 120, and Richard DeLorenzo II recorded a 15-0 technical fall at 132, tightening the dual.
Jackson Closes Strong
Jackson regained control with key bonus-point victories. Noah Kovacs secured a fall in 1:03 at 126, and Chase Lentze followed with another pin at 138. Armani McCann closed out the lineup with a clutch 6-5 decision at 144 to seal the team victory.
The combination of early bonus points and strong finishes proved to be the difference for Jackson Township in a competitive matchup.
