Christian Brothers Academy dominated the District 21 Wrestling Tournament, racking up 309.5 points and crowning nine individual champions. Colts Neck and Jackson Memorial battled for second place, but no team could match CBA’s overwhelming performance.

CBA Dominates District 21 Tournament with Nine Champions

Christian Brothers Academy put on a commanding performance at the District 21 Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 22, rolling to the team title with 309.5 points at their home gym. Colts Neck (134.5) and Jackson Memorial (133) rounded out the top three in a battle for second place.


CBA’s depth was on full display as they crowned nine individual champions, continuing their dominance in the district. In addition to their champions, the Colts had several wrestlers place, further solidifying their place as the top team in District 21. Jackson Memorial and Colts Neck each had standout performances with individual title winners, while Freehold and Manalapan fought hard to crack the top five.

Championship Recap

CBA flexed its dominance with nine individual champions, leading the field from start to finish. Paul Kenny (120), Teag Saito (126), Bobby Duffy (132), Randy Jenks (138), Will Sakoutis (144), Brendan Boyer (157), AJ Falcone (165), Tyler Palumbo (215), and Jacob Howland (Hwt) all brought home gold for the Colts.

Jackson Memorial had a strong showing with two champions in Ryan Wolf (175) and Jessup Adams (190), while Colts Neck’s Ethan Michaels (113) also took home a title.


Returning champions included AJ Falcone and Bobby Duffy, who each secured their second district title, while Will Sakoutis, Brendan Boyer, Tyler Palumbo, Paul Kenny, Brock Oizerowitz, and Jacob Howland also added to their accolades.


With their dominant performance, CBA will look to carry momentum into the Region 6 Tournament, where they’ll face top competition from across the Shore Conference and beyond. Wrestlers from other schools, including Jackson Memorial’s Ryan Wolf and Colts Neck’s Ethan Michaels, will also be ones to watch as they aim for deep postseason runs.
